The Two Rivers Youth Club (TRYC) through volunteers will endeavor to teach team play, spirit, companionship and association through all competitive sports and sportsmanship.
Improving lives through excellent competitive sports and sportsmanship.
Established in the summer of 1960 by John and Catherine Moore, Two Rivers Youth Club (TYRC) mission was to provide a place for girls to play competitive fast pitch softball. The newly formed non-profit organization with just a few volunteers were able to initiate two divisions with two teams in each division with games played at Garrison School in its first year. Fast forward to 1984, the TRYC had grown to multiple divisions with 5 to 10 teams in each division so with the Sedgwick County providing the land the TRYC moved to its current location at 1700 North Ridge Road in West Wichita.
For more than 50 years, the TRYC has stayed true to its original mission but has grown to have a broader vision and mission. The non-profit organization has a Board of Directors who oversee and organize the leagues fast pitch softball games and tournaments each year. All league and tournament fees goes towards the upkeep of the fields and facilities. It has improved the lives of thousands of children and families over the years through its commitment to providing competitive sports and sportsmanship.
The TRYC is slated for upgrades as a part of the Sedgwick County Sports Complex, which includes AYSO soccer, TRYC Softball, and West Urban.
